Biography

Orlando Rodriguez is a Senior Policy Fellow for a non-profit in Connecticut. He researches and reports on the policies and actions of government and corporations that affect children and families. He is the former manager of the Connecticut State Data Center, at the University of Connecticut, where he focused on applied research on demographic and socioeconomic aspects of Connecticut.

Among his many studies, he has authored two reports on congressional apportionment: Impact of Undocumented Populations on 2010 Congressional Reapportionment and The One Man One Vote Myth: The Impact of Non Voting Populations on Congressional Apportionment. He has also provided expert testimony on population demographics in federal court.

Orlando was born in Cuba and came to the U.S. in the early 1960s at the age of three. He holds a B.S. in Geology from Louisiana State University and an M.A. in Geography from Ohio State University. Orlando was a Peace Corps volunteer in Ecuador. He is married and has two children.

Vote Thieves is his first book.
